Hope Manor II is an affordable housing development designed for Veterans with families. This campus-style community provides a flexible continuum of housing and supportive services to individual veterans and veterans with families through a unique combination of studio apartments, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units and 4-bedroom town homes. Located in the south side Englewood neighborhood on several parcels of land donated by the City of Chicago at the corners of 60th and Halsted and 60th and Green Street, Hope Manor II provides housing and supportive services to more than 70 Veteran-headed households. A large private park which can be used by residents and neighbors during the day is located directly south of the rowhouses, as well as a community garden located directly south of the six-flats on Green Street.
The project was funded primarily through the City of Chicago tax credit program for affordable housing.
