Senior Living, Supportive

Churchview is a six-story Supportive Living Facility for the elderly. The 86-unit building was one of the first SLFs in Chicago and connects to an existing five-story independent living residential building which currently serves the surrounding Chicago Lawn community. The goal is to unite the two buildings into a campus-type setting, and provide a way for the residents of the existing building to age in place.

Worn Jerabek Wiltse designed the very symbol of the resurrection of our community. Where once was blight and desolation now stands a tall monument offering joy, peace and longevity to the elderly who have called this neighborhood home for decades. Bill’s design stands as a beacon for reinvestment, catalyzing new development and reinvestment interest from all sectors.”
