WJW welcomes Ian!

July 31, 2020People

Although WJW continues to work remotely through the COVID-19 pandemic, we are very pleased to welcome Ian to the team!

In the summer of 2020, Ian joined WJW after working for an architecture firm focusing on fast-paced high-end hospitality, historic renovation, and urban planning exercises. Prior to that he was working on multi-family affordable housing and senior housing projects with both public and private clients throughout the Chicago area.

From rural Oklahoma, to European towns, to densely populated African cities, Ian has been interested in how people are affected by and engage with the architecture and public spaces around them. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University and then went on to pursue his Masters of Urban Design from Washington University in St. Louis.

As a citizen architect and social advocate, Ian works with a variety non-profit organizations such as Housing Opportunities for Women, Tutoring Chicago, Architects in Schools, City Open Workshop, and Habitat for Humanity. In his spare time, he enjoys reading science fiction novels, sketching, exploring the city, and playing with his cat, Scritches.

Welcome, Ian!
