Michael Jerabek is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois. He has taught Universal, Sustainable, and LEED design as Assistant Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has also lectured on the implementation of sustainable design principles in architectural practice.
Mr. Jerabek has a special expertise in the design of seniors housing, mixed-use residential/commercial buildings and adaptive re-use. Select projects he has designed and managed include a winning entry in the Green Homes for Chicago Design Competition, Churchview Supportive Living, the Evergreen Place supportive living facilities, Opera Lofts, Bucktown Commons, Fountain View, the Lakewood Tower independent senior community and Park Boulevard. He began his career with Schlager-Taniguchi Architects and was formerly Project Architect with Pappageorge Haymes, Ltd. Mr. Jerabek received the Quality in Masonry Design and Education Award for The Delta on Lincoln.
