Heidi joined the firm in 2007 after receiving a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While at UIC, she received the AIA Henry Adams Medal of Merit. In 2010, she completed her Master of Science in Architecture in Health Design. As an undergraduate, Heidi attended Illinois State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Art History. She spent several years as a university facilities planner before studying architecture.
While at Worn Jerabek Wiltse she has worked on a variety of senior living projects including the renovation of existing skilled nursing communities, creation of new rehab therapy facilities, and leading the firm’s effort to develop design concepts for Evidence Based Memory Care Special Care facilities. Ms. Wang has also worked on several adaptive reuse projects within the firm. She is a LEED AP and has achieved EDAC certification. Her current areas of research interest include lighting for older adults, the effect of light on people with dementia, and special care residential environments.
In her spare time, Heidi enjoys traveling the globe, volunteering, and relaxing along the shores of Lake Michigan.
